For many adopted people, the telling of our stories is very important. To me, personally, it is a way to hopefully educate the non-adopted but also to reach out to other adoptees and say "Hey, this is what it was like for me. How was it for you?" I hope that my story has been a benefit to you in some small way. My benefit is in the telling - a catharsis of kinds, an opportunity to educate and to share. The more we tell our stories, the more we find our common bonds.
